KIRKBRIDE ROAD INTERSECTION
To improve journey time reliability to the airport, and to improve safety at this intersection, a trench will be constructed under Kirkbride Road to separate motorway
traffic from local traffic. This grade separated intersection at the SH20A/Kirkbride Road intersection will allow motorway traffic to pass underneath Kirkbride Road.
The bridge connecting Kirkbride Road will include a shared pedestrian and cycle path to allow safe passage over SH20A and across the motorway ramps. This will make it safer and easier for the community, particularly for children who will no longer have to cross eight lanes of fast moving traffic to get to school.
